About Nauticus

In 2018, James and Geoff began hosting Pride dance events with a focus on bringing an elevated production to their hometown of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Disillusioned by the takeover of circuit dance events in some cities by for-profit entities, they came together with six like-minded friends to establish a 100% volunteer-driven non-profit to ensure that earnings return to the community – and Nauticus was born.

Nauticus promotes and produces entertainment events in Atlantic Canada, while providing a safe space free from discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, race, colour, age, and disability. Net proceeds raised from these events will go to charities with a focus on 2SLGBTQ+ and youth causes.
